Aerobatic Manoeuvres

Basic Manoeuvres - recreational aerobatics

The basic list of manoeuvres that the aerobatics student should be able to tackle with success are:

  • Aileron Roll, left hand & right hand
  • Loop
  • Quarter Clover rolling upwards & downwards, left hand & right hand
  • Barrel Roll, left hand & right hand
  • Stall Turn, left hand & right hand
  • Half Cuban Eight, rolling on the down line
  • Half roll off the top
  • Slow Roll, left hand & right hand

The student should also be able to recover from the following safely:

  • Non precision spin, both incipient, and fully developed
  • Any unusual attitude that the student, or instructor, can get the aircraft into!

The videos above show a representative selection from this basic set of manoeuvres that should help identify where the aerobatic pilot should be looking during that manoeuvre.
